2012 Roger Waters “The Wall Live ” Tour

George Roger Waters is one of the oldest rock stars of the music industry. His birth date is 6th of September, 1943 and he started his musical career at the age of 21. He is still an active musician, composer plus producer of the industry.  As a songwriter and vocalist, he has been associated with various bands including ‘Pink Floyd’ and ‘The Bleeding Heart Band.”   He also provided his valuable services to ‘Sigma 6’ and he is a renowned music celebrity of today’s entertainment industry.   He has great expertise in music genres ranging from opera to progressive, art and psychedelic rock.  As a composer, he mostly makes use of guitar, trumpet and clarinet along with synthesizer.  He is best acknowledged as band member of Pink Floyd where he was not only lyricist but co- vocalist.   He was born in Surrey and grew up in Cambridge and received his polytechnical education in architecture.  There he met Nick Mason and Richard with whom he formed his band.   Other members of the band included David Gilmour and Syd Barrett who were his classmates in school.  Besides having an education in architecture, he is not only fond of music but also has a keen interest in sports like swimming in particular.   Roger Waters was the core personality behind Pink Floyd; the rock music band he made with the help of his friend Syd Barrett.  Roger himself was lead vocalist and songwriter but most of the soundtracks produced by them were written by Syd.   He was the most creative member of the Pink Floyd as he always came up with unique concepts and captivating ideas plus lyrics.  Moreover, the enchanting music he composed for the soundtracks also depicts his great talent behind most of band’s produced musical numbers.  In the beginning of the 80’s he left Pink Floyd because of some differences generated among band members.  Soon he took the initiative to continue his profession as a solo singer and launched three studio albums one after another.  However, they were not recognized as much as his creations being part of Pink Floyd.  In 1992, he launched ‘Amused to Death’ and it was this album which has brought great fame  his way and provided him with the breakthrough as solo rock star.  He has released the following albums through his musical career both as band member and solo singer and composer

  1.  Music from The Body  (1970)
  2. The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking (1984)
  3. When the Wind Blows (1986)
  4. Radio K.A.O.S. (1987)
  5. The Wall – Live in Berlin (1990)
  6. Amused to Death (1992)
  7. In the Flesh – Live (2000)
  8. Flickering Flame: The Solo Years Volume 1 (2002)
  9. Roger Waters: Ca Ira (There Is Hope) (2005)

In 2005, he did a phenomenal promotion of his last album  entitled as ‘Ca Ira’.  This album is based on an opera style of music with bit amalgamation of rock elements.  Roger Waters has composed and produced a good number of albums as well as several single songs which received outstanding response from the public and critics as well.  Unfortunately, his has only won one award during his music career.  In 1983, he won ‘BAFTA Film Awards’ for the Best Original Song (Another Brick in the Wall).  Recently in 2011, he was nominated in “Billboard Music Awards” for the category of Top Touring Artist.  He is one of the artists who love touring and entertaining their fans with both old and new music from their long careers.  His 2012 Wall Live Tour tickets  are now available online.  Contact us for cheap Roger Waters tickets as we are offering amazing Roger Waters concert ticket packages at great prices.
