Jerry Seinfeld has the distinction of being one of the most renowned and admired comedians of our generation.  Jerry was born on April 29, 1954 in New York.   Jerry is not only a brilliant  stand-up comedian;  he has also produced wonderful work in the fields of acting, writing and producing films.  Steinfeld is an equally popular entertainer in television, film and comedy stage shows.  He is one of the most educated artists of the entertainment industry.  He graduated in communications and theater from Queens College, New York.  He started his professional career with the entertainment industry in 1976 as a comedian.  During late 2011 and early 2012, he has scheduled an array of dates across North America.  See his schedule below.

By and large, his acts range from human nature to social, cultural and everyday life matters and country politics.  He usually brings into play the following comedy genres with the aim of pleasing his audience:

The interest in stand-up comedy was built up by Seinfeld during his college life.  His college productions of stand-up comedy provided a sound base for his flourishing professional career.  In 1976, he initially appeared on Rodney Dangerfield’s HBO Special after he graduated.  He received this coveted opportunity because of his wonderful performance at an open-mic night refer to as
“Catch a Rising Star.”   The sitcom named “Seinfeld”  that was aired on NBC in 1989 is the most notable work of Jerry in comedy. It has been viewed as his best ever major comedy venture.  Soon after finale of this sitcom,  Jerry Seinfeld played the lead role in “Bee Movie”  named Barry B. Benson.  He was also a co-writer as well as co-producer of this movie.  It was released in 2007 and successfully made $287,594,577 at  the box office.  Moreover, it is a sort of family comedy film based on computer animations.  It was the first ever experience Seinfeld had to write script for a motion-picture.  Last year in 2010, he produced a reality television series which was aired on NBC.  The show’s name is  ‘The Marriage Ref” and two of its seasons have been successfully broadcast. Recently in 2011, he has directed “Long Story Short” which is a one-man theatrical Broadway show.  He has been nominated for numerous awards throughout his life and has won the following:

  2. Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor-Musical or Comedy Series (1994)
  3. Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Ensemble-Comedy Series (1995, 1997, 1998)
  4. American Comedy Awards:
  • Funniest Male Performer in a TV Series-lead role (1992, 1993)
  • Comedy Club Stand-Up Comic-Male (1988-Lieftime Achievement)
